Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this hike? Thinking about taking my 12-year-old.

A: There isn't a strict age limit for the Mount Pilchuck hike, but I’d recommend it for kids 10 and older, especially since it can get steep. If your 12-year-old is active and enjoys the outdoors, they should be fine! Just make sure they wear good shoes and have plenty of water.

Q: What should we wear for the hike? Is it cold up there?

A: You’ll want to dress in layers! It can be chilly at the top, especially if you go early in the morning. I suggest wearing moisture-wicking clothes, a good jacket, and sturdy hiking shoes. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen— the sun can be strong!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Just reach out to Adventures In Seattle ahead of time, and they’ll help you find a new date. They really care about safety and ensuring you have a great experience!
