A sunrise meditation hike along the San Jacinto Mountains steps from Palm Springs to a resting spot with dramatic views of the Coachella Valley. You'll watch the sun rise over Indian Canyons and come together in guided meditation setting a grounded intention for the day. We'll greet each other at the South Lykken trailhead. As we hike the trail about a mile to our meditation spot, we'll listen to the natural beauty of Oswitz Canyon. I'll lead you through a grounding meditation to help you set your intention for the day, acknowledging your connection to the Earth and the universe. Guests will walk away with stunning photos. Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, you'll have a grounded connection to the environment, a clear mind, and an open heart. We will hear the sounds of the earth. We will see the colors of the planet. We will breathe the essence of being. We will see the universe in motion. The morning sun will expose our shadows. If the stars agree, we will see big horn sheep.

Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to do the Mountain Sunrise Hike and Meditation?

A: Honestly, the spring and fall are perfect for this hike. The weather is usually mild, and the sunrise views over Indian Canyons are breathtaking! Summer can get really hot, and winter might be chilly, especially before sunrise, so dress in layers. Just check the forecast before you go!

Q: Are there any age limits for participating in the hike?

A: There aren't any strict age limits, but I'd recommend this for ages 12 and up due to the hike's moderate difficulty. Kids younger than that might enjoy it, but just keep in mind the distance and the early start time. It’s all about ensuring everyone has a great experience!

Q: What should I wear for the hike in the morning?

A: Layer up! It can be chilly in the morning but warms up fast once the sun comes up. I suggest wearing moisture-wicking clothes and sturdy hiking shoes. Maybe a light jacket that you can tie around your waist once it gets warmer. And don’t forget a hat and sunglasses for when the sun is fully up!

Just got back from the Mountain Sunrise Hike, and wow!

I just did the Mountain Sunrise Hike in Palm Springs last weekend, and it was absolutely incredible. The views from the meditation spot were mind-blowing, especially when the sun slowly rose over Indian Canyons. Timothy did a fantastic job guiding us through the meditation – it really helped set a positive tone for my day. Just a heads up: bring layers, it was chilly at first! Can't wait to share my photos with everyone!

Thinking of gifting the Mountain Sunrise Hike experience!

Hey everyone! I'm considering giving this Mountain Sunrise Hike and Meditation as a gift for my sister's birthday. She loves hiking and meditation but has never done a sunrise hike before. Has anyone done it recently? Would it be a good gift, or should I look for something else? I want her to have a great time!
