Q&A

Q: Is there a specific age limit for the Mountaintop 360° experience? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit for the cabin experience! Kids are definitely welcome, but keep in mind that it can get quite cold outside while waiting for the aurora. Dress them warmly and make sure they're up for a late night, as the prime viewing often happens late at night. It’s a magical experience for families!

Q: What should we wear for the aurora viewing? Is it really cold up there?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get pretty chilly in Fairbanks at night, especially when you’re out waiting for the aurora. A good base layer, warm socks, and a heavy coat are all musts. Don’t forget gloves and a hat! They even have hot drinks to warm you up inside the cabin.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule our visit?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate! The team at Aurora Camp is super flexible with bookings. They keep a close eye on conditions and will work with you to find a better time for your aurora viewing. Just be sure to contact them as soon as you know you can't make it.

Just got back from the Mountaintop 360° experience—totally blew my mind!

I went to the Aurora Camp in Fairbanks last month, and it was seriously one of the best experiences of my life. The cabin is super cozy, and the hot chocolate was perfect while waiting for the lights. We got lucky and saw an incredible show! The guide was also really helpful with tips on capturing the aurora on my camera. If anyone’s thinking about gifting this, do it!

Looking for tips for my upcoming trip to the aurora viewing cabin!

I bought this experience for my partner's birthday and I'm so excited! Just wondering what snacks to bring along and any essentials for the night. I want to make it super special. How was the outdoor viewing? Is it really as good as everyone says?
