Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit for this tour! Kids are totally welcome, and it’s a great way for families to explore the stunning Columbia Gorge together. Just keep in mind that there's a lot of sitting in the vehicle, so if your kids can handle that, they should be fine. The guide can make it fun and engaging for them!
A: Dress in layers! The weather can change quickly in the Columbia Gorge, so it's best to be prepared. A light jacket and comfy shoes are a must since there might be stops for short walks or photos. Don't forget your sunglasses and sunscreen too, especially on sunny days!
A: If the weather is severe, you can typically reschedule without a hassle. Just reach out to BARBIL TOURS ahead of time to discuss options. They understand that the views are the main attraction, so they’ll work with you to find a better day if needed. It's always good to plan ahead, though!

Considering the Mt Hood & Columbia River tour for my parents' anniversary!
Hey everyone, I'm thinking of gifting my parents the private tour from Portland. They love nature and photography. I read that it's a nice relaxing way to see the Columbia Gorge without the stress of driving. How long does the tour usually last, and are the views really as good as people say? I want this to be a special gift for them!
Just did the Mt Hood tour - what an experience!
OMG, I just got back from the Mt Hood & Columbia River tour and it was amazing! The guide was super knowledgeable, and the fact that we had a private vehicle made it so comfortable. Plus, they provided bottled water, which was a nice touch. Definitely bring your camera because you'll want to capture everything! Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves nature.
