On this tour to Mt. Rainier National Park there is a lot of diversity from alpine environment to old growth forest in lower elevation. We drive to the highlights in the park and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and tall trees in old-growth forest. You will be on guided shorter hikes at points of interest. In the winter areas of the park may be closed some days and not all highlights will be accessible at times - from November to June snowshoes/crampons will be provided when necessary since there is often snow on the trails in those months.

Q&A

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather's bad?

A: Yes, WOW Nature Tours is pretty flexible with rescheduling if the weather doesn't cooperate. I had to change my date because of snow, and they were super accommodating. Just reach out to them as soon as you know!

Q: What should I wear for the Mt. Rainier tour?

A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly especially in higher elevations. I wore a moisture-wicking shirt, a fleece, and a waterproof jacket. Good hiking boots are a must too, especially with those crampons. Don't forget gloves and a hat!

Q: Is this tour good for kids?

A: Definitely! The hikes are shorter and suitable for kids, plus they’ll love seeing the waterfalls and big trees. Just keep in mind the weather, and pack snacks to keep them energized. It's a great family bonding experience!
