Q&A

Q: What's the best way to get to the starting point for the Muir Woods tour?

A: You can take the Muni bus to the Ferry Building, where you can catch the tour bus. The bus usually leaves from there, so just plan to arrive a bit early. If you're driving, parking can be tricky in that area, so keep that in mind!

Q: Are there any age limits for the kids on this tour?

A: There aren't strict age limits, but the tour is generally suitable for kids 5 and up. It's about a half-day trip, so younger kids might get tired. Just make sure they can handle a bit of walking in Muir Woods!

Q: What happens if it rains? Do we still go to Muir Woods?

A: Yes, the tour goes rain or shine! Just dress appropriately. Muir Woods can be misty, and the trails may be slippery. It's best to wear good shoes and maybe bring a poncho. The redwoods can be quite magical in the fog!

Just got back from the Muir Woods tour and it was amazing!

I went on the Muir Woods and Sausalito tour last week and wow, the redwoods are something else! I loved the 90-minute stop in Muir Woods; we had just enough time to walk some trails and take photos. The ferry back was super nice too, such a great way to see the bay. Totally recommend it if you're looking for a gift idea or just something fun to do while in SF!

Thinking about gifting the Muir Woods experience for my parents

Hey everyone! I'm considering this Muir Woods and Sausalito tour for my parents' anniversary. They love nature but aren’t super active. Is this tour enjoyable for them? Also, how’s the ferry ride back? I want it to be a fun day for them!
