Join us for a narrated and scenic drive from San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, explore the beauty of Giant Coastal Redwoods at Muir Woods, and appreciate the astonishing views from Sausalito's picturesque waterfront. On the way to the Woods, we usually make a short stop on the Northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge. We will spend one hour and twenty minutes in the Muir Woods and about one hour in Sausalito, where you can walk the Waterfront and enjoy the stunning views of the bay, bridges, and downtown SF. Visit local art galleries and souvenir stores, and have lunch in one of many seafood restaurants. Then we will take you back to your hotel. Should you decide to stay there longer, you can return to the city by Ferry.

Q: What should I wear for the Muir Woods & Sausalito tour? Is it chilly in the woods?

A: Layered clothing is your best bet! Muir Woods can be cooler, especially with the shade from the trees, but it warms up in Sausalito. I’d recommend wearing a light jacket or sweater that you can take off later. Also, comfy shoes are a must for walking the trails!

A: You'll have about 1 hour and 20 minutes in Muir Woods, which is usually enough to explore a couple of trails. Just keep an eye on the time if you want to go further! The guide is really good about giving you the heads-up when it’s time to head back.

A: Yes, it's definitely family-friendly! There’s no specific age limit, but younger kids might need a little help on the trails. Just keep an eye on them around the cliffs in Muir Woods. It’s a great educational experience for kids too!

Just did the Muir Woods & Sausalito tour - absolutely stunning!

So I went on this tour last weekend, and I can't recommend it enough! The drive across the Golden Gate was breathtaking. Muir Woods was magical; those redwoods are HUGE! Spent an hour in Sausalito too, had the best clam chowder at a little seafood joint by the water. Perfect day trip from SF! Just a heads up, wear comfy shoes for the trails. Planning to gift this to my parents for their anniversary!
