Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? I'm planning to take my 8-year-old daughter.

A: There’s no strict age limit for this experience! Kids are welcome, and the tour is generally family-friendly. Just make sure she’s able to walk around in Muir Woods and enjoys nature. I took my nephew who’s around the same age, and he loved it! Just a heads up though, it can get a bit chilly, so dress her in layers.

Q: How often do the ferries run back to Fisherman's Wharf? I want to plan our lunch time in Sausalito.

A: Ferries leave at 12:15 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:15 PM, and 5:45 PM. If you have lunch plans, I’d recommend the 2:30 PM ferry for a laid-back meal and some extra time at the waterfront. Just keep an eye on the time, since the last ferry is at 5:45 PM!

Q: Can the tour be rescheduled if the weather is bad? I really want this to be a good gift!

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather’s not cooperating! The tour provider is pretty flexible about that. Just reach out to them as soon as you can, and they'll help you find another date. I was able to reschedule with no issues for my friends when it rained on their original date.

Just did the Muir Woods/Sausalito ferry tour and loved it!

I went on this tour last weekend, and it was amazing! The drive over the Golden Gate was beautiful, and Muir Woods is just breathtaking. Spent about an hour and twenty minutes there which was perfect. Sausalito was a highlight too; we had lunch at a seafood place called The Spinnaker, and the views were out of this world! Pro tip: Wear comfy shoes, the trails are easy but you’ll want to wander around a bit.

Thinking about gifting this experience! Any recommendations?

I’m considering giving this Muir Woods/Sausalito tour as a gift for my partner's birthday. I love that it's a mix of nature and city. How’s the parking situation if we drive? Also, any must-see spots in Sausalito?
