Q&A
A: Yeah, the tour typically accommodates up to 14 people, which keeps it pretty intimate. Just make sure to book in advance during peak seasons, as spots fill up quickly. It’s a popular one, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing colors!
A: If it rains, the tour usually goes on but they recommend bringing a waterproof jacket or umbrella. Muir Woods is still stunning in the rain since the trees look incredible with the mist. Just check with the provider the day before in case they need to adjust the schedule.
A: Comfort is key! I’d suggest wearing breathable layers since the weather can change quickly. Sturdy walking shoes are a must for Muir Woods, and you might want a light jacket for the wine tastings. You want to feel relaxed while enjoying the views and sipping wine!

Just booked the Muir Woods & Wine Tour for my partner's birthday!
I’m so excited! We’re going in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to walk among those giant redwoods. Plus, the wine tastings in Napa and Sonoma are going to be a blast! I’m a little nervous about the weather, though. Does anyone have tips on what to bring?
Had the best day on the Muir Woods & Wine Tour!
Just got back from this tour and wow! The trees at Muir Woods were breathtaking. Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the trip fun. The wine tastings were excellent too—especially fell in love with a Pinot Noir at one of the Sonoma wineries. Highly recommend this as a gift or for yourself!
