Q&A
A: No specific age limit for the Alcatraz tour, but kids under 12 do need to be accompanied by an adult. Just keep in mind that the island has some steep areas and a lot of walking, so younger kids might get tired. If they’re good with a little hike, they should have a great time!
A: Yes, you can reschedule your tour, but it needs to be done at least 24 hours in advance. Just contact the provider, and they’ll help you find a new date that works. But be mindful during peak seasons, as those dates fill up fast!
A: Comfortable hiking shoes are a must! The trails can be a bit uneven, plus you'll want to bring layers since it can get chilly under the trees. A light jacket would be great, and don’t forget sunscreen for your face, even in the shade!

Thinking of gifting the Muir Woods & Wine Tour experience!
I just found this Muir Woods with Napa & Sonoma Wine Tour + Alcatraz Tour experience and it looks amazing. I’m thinking about giving it to my parents for their anniversary. They love history and nature! Has anyone done this? How was the wine tasting part? I want them to have a great time!
Alcatraz ferry ride was epic!
I just completed the Alcatraz part of this experience, and wow! The ferry ride offers the best views of the Golden Gate. The audio tour inside the prison was super insightful. I can’t wait for the Muir Woods and wine part next weekend. Anyone have tips for good wineries in Napa?
