Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? I'm thinking of taking my kids.

A: There isn’t an official age limit, but I'd recommend this for kids aged 10 and up. The content can be pretty intense, especially when discussing historical events. Also, keep in mind that younger kids might not have the patience for a 5.5-hour tour. Some families bring snacks and a tablet for the little ones if they need a break! Overall, it's a great educational experience!

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it casual or more formal?

A: Dress comfortably! This is a walking tour, so wear good shoes. Casual attire is totally fine, but if it’s a hotter day, maybe wear layers 'cause it can get chilly inside the museums. I went in shorts and a tee, which worked out well. Just be ready to walk a lot!

Q: Can this be rescheduled if something comes up? I want to gift it but life happens.

A: Yes, you can reschedule your tour! Just make sure to give Babylon Tours a heads-up at least 48 hours in advance. They’re pretty flexible about that. I ended up changing my date once without any issues, which was super helpful.

Thinking about gifting the National Archives + American History Museum Tour!

Hey everyone! I’m considering buying the semi-private tour for my dad’s birthday. He loves history, and I think he’d freak out over seeing the Declaration of Independence and other cool stuff like Lincoln’s top hat. Has anyone done this? I’m a bit worried about how the lunch break works. Is it an actual sit-down meal? Thanks!

Just finished the National Archives + American History Museum Tour!

OMG, this was such a great experience! Our guide was super knowledgeable, and seeing the Star-Spangled Banner in person was amazing. I went with my siblings, and we all learned so much. Honestly, I think I’ll book this again for my mom’s birthday. Highly recommend if you’re in DC!
