Q&A
A: There aren't any specific age restrictions for the tour. It’s suitable for all ages! However, I’d recommend it for kids 10 and up, since they might appreciate the historical context better. Just keep in mind that younger kids might get restless during the tour.
A: Comfort is key! I'd suggest wearing comfortable shoes since you'll be walking quite a bit. DC can get hot in the summer, so lightweight clothes are a good idea. Also, consider layers—air conditioning can be chilly inside the Archives.
A: With the Skip-the-Line entry, you pretty much walk right in! The tour lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on how many questions people ask. It’s a super smooth process without the long waits, making it well worth the price!

Just booked the National Archives tour for my parents! Any tips?
I'm super excited! I got the Skip-the-Line Guided Tour for my folks when they visit DC next month. They love history, and I think they'll really appreciate seeing the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution up close. What should I keep in mind for them during the tour? Any tips on what they might enjoy the most?
Just did the Archives tour yesterday! Here’s my review.
Wow, what an experience! The Skip-the-Line entry was a GAME CHANGER. We went straight in and got to see the Declaration and Constitution without waiting in that crazy line. Our guide was so passionate—made the history come alive. Plus, they provided bottled water and cooling towels, which was nice since it was hot outside. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting DC!
