Q&A
A: Absolutely! This tour is great for families. Kids around 5 and up generally enjoy it, especially the boat ride. Just be prepared for some walking and make sure they can handle it. The guide is really engaging, which helps keep the little ones interested too!
A: The boat cruise operates from March to Mid-October, but if the weather's bad, they’ll switch to the Pentagon City Mall option. You can usually reschedule if the cruise is canceled due to weather, just check with the provider!
A: Parking can be tricky near the National Mall, especially during peak times. I recommend using a parking app to find nearby garages. There’s also some street parking, but it fills up fast. Just plan to arrive early if you're driving!

Thinking about the National Mall and Boat Cruise tour for my birthday! Any tips?
I’m really excited about this tour. I’ve lived in DC for a while but never done the boat cruise! I hear the views are amazing, especially during cherry blossom season. Any recommendations on what to wear or what to expect? Also, is the lunch at Georgetown good? Thanks!
Just did the National Mall tour! Here’s my review.
I went on this tour last weekend, and it was amazing! The tour guide was super knowledgeable and made the history come alive. The boat ride was such a nice break from all the walking. We got to see the Lincoln and MLK memorials up close. I definitely recommend it, especially for anyone visiting DC for the first time!
