What sets this activity apart is the excitement of nearshore ocean fishing without the long boat ride. By staying within three miles of the beach, you are fishing a high-traffic "coastal highway" where big-game predators and delicious reef fish constantly move along the shoreline. You get the best of both worlds: the power of open-water species like King Mackerel, Cobia, and Tarpon, combined with the accessibility of being just minutes away from Ponce Inlet

Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for kids on this fishing charter?

A: No specific age limits, but I’d recommend checking with the charter for safety gear. Kids love it! The crew is super accommodating and makes it fun for all ages. Just be aware that younger kids may need a bit of help with the fishing gear.

Q: What's the best time of year to go for fishing?

A: Spring and early summer are prime times! The fish are really active and you’ll have better luck with King Mackerel and Cobia. Fall can also be great if you don’t mind a little cooler weather. Just check the forecast!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the charter?

A: If it's too rough to fish, the crew will usually reschedule you for another day. They really take safety seriously. Just make sure you keep an eye on the weather leading up to your trip!

Just booked a nearshore fishing charter at Ponce Inlet!

I just got my brother a fishing charter with Pole Dancer Fishin' Charters for his birthday! We’re gonna be fishing just off Daytona Beach so I’m pumped! I think we’re targeting some big King Mackerel and maybe even a Cobia if we’re lucky. Hope the weather is nice, but I’m told they’re pretty good at rescheduling if it’s not. Has anyone here done this? Any tips?

Anyone done the nearshore fishing charter recently?

Thinking of booking the nearshore fishing charter at Ponce Inlet but I’m kinda nervous. Is it as fun as it sounds? I want to surprise my dad for his retirement gift! What can I expect in terms of fish and the overall vibe? Also, how’s the fishing gear? Do I need to bring my own?
