Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the cruise? My friend is a bit heavier, and I want to make sure she can go.

A: There isn't a specific weight limit for the Steamboat NATCHEZ or its sister vessel, but they do recommend that all guests feel comfortable moving around the decks. Both boats have great stability and plenty of space, so your friend should be just fine. Also, the crew is super helpful if she needs assistance boarding.

Q: What’s the best time of year to do this tour? I wanna avoid the heat!

A: Spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) are ideal! The weather is mild, and you get to enjoy the festival season too. Summer can be really hot, and it's less enjoyable being outside for long periods. Just keep an eye out for any potential rain showers.

Q: Can we bring our own drinks on the boat? I heard the cocktails are pricey.

A: Unfortunately, you can't bring your own drinks on board. The Steamboat NATCHEZ has a full bar with reasonably priced options for craft cocktails and local brews. If you're worried about the cost, consider just having one drink and enjoying the atmosphere!

Thinking of gifting the New Orleans City Tour and Steamboat Cruise—thoughts?

I’m considering this for my parents' anniversary. They love jazz and I think they’d enjoy the narrated tour through the French Quarter! The beignets at Cafe du Monde sound like a tasty stop too. Just worried about how early we need to get to the motorcoach for the 10AM tour. Any advice?

Just did the New Orleans City Tour and Jazz Cruise! Here’s my review!

OMG, this was the best experience ever! The city tour at 10AM was so engaging, and our guide made the history come alive. The cruise was pure magic—live jazz and those views of the Mississippi were stunning. Definitely stop at Cafe du Monde for those beignets; they’re worth it! I’d recommend this to anyone visiting NOLA!
