Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the bike tour? Are there any specific recommendations?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes since you'll be biking for about three hours. It can get pretty hot, so lightweight, breathable fabrics are a plus. Don't forget your sunscreen! You might also want to bring a light jacket if you get cold easily, especially in the evenings.

Q: Is this tour good for people of all ages? What if I want to bring my kids?

A: Yes, this tour is suitable for older kids and adults. Just make sure your kids are comfortable riding a bike for an extended period. The guide is really accommodating, so if you have younger kids, they can suggest shorter routes or even adjust the pace as needed.

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just reach out to Flambeaux Bicycle Tours at least 24 hours in advance. They’re very understanding about changes, but it’s best to do it early to avoid any fees!

Just did the Heart of the City Bike Tour in NOLA - so fun!

I went on the Heart of the City bike tour last weekend and it was AMAZING! Our guide, a local, told us so much about the history of the neighborhoods and the food culture. We even stopped at St. Roch Cemetery, which was super interesting. The biking was totally manageable, even for someone like me who's not super fit. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a unique way to see New Orleans!

Thinking about gifting the bike tour - any thoughts?

I’m considering gifting the Heart of the City bike tour to my friend who loves exploring new places. Has anyone here done it? How did you find the pace? I'm just worried it might be too fast for her since she’s not a pro cyclist or anything.
