Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for the vampire walking tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids can join, but it's best to check with Haunted History Tours. The tales can be pretty scary, and some parents say younger kids might get freaked out. If you’ve got older kids or teens who love spooky stories, they'll probably have a blast! Just keep in mind the tour is mostly at night, so that might add to the creepiness.

Q: Is this tour seriously scary? I'm planning to gift this to my friend who scares easily.

A: The tour mixes interesting history with spooky stories, but it's not meant to be a jump-scare fest. If your friend is into ghost stories and New Orleans history, they'll probably enjoy it! There are some creepy elements, but it's more about the ambiance and tales than actual scares. Ideal for someone who loves a good story.

Q: What should I wear for the vampire tour? Is it a lot of walking?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must since you’ll be walking through the French Quarter! Dress for the weather, too, since it can get hot or rainy. Layers are a good idea in case it cools down at night. Some people like to add a little spooky flair to their outfit—like a vampire cape or themed accessories, which adds to the fun!

Just went on the New Orleans Vampire Walking Tour—so spooky and fun!

I took the vampire walking tour last week in the French Quarter and it was awesome! Our guide was super theatrical and really brought the stories to life. We visited the vampire tavern and heard some wild tales about Louisianan lore. It was not overly scary, just the right amount of spooky! Perfect for a night out. Definitely recommend it for those who love history and a little thrill. And don’t forget to bring garlic, lol!
