Q&A

Q: Is there a dress code for the Hudson River Fall Foliage Sail?

A: Definitely dress in layers! Since it's a sailboat, it can get windy on the water, especially in the fall. I recommend wearing a warm jacket, maybe a scarf, and good shoes. You’ll want to be comfortable but also warm enough to enjoy the views without freezing. Don't forget a hat if your head gets cold!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the sail?

A: If the weather looks iffy, they usually inform you ahead of time and may offer to reschedule or provide a refund. It’s a good idea to check the forecast a couple of days before and keep an eye on your email for updates from Classic Harbor Line. They want you to have the best experience!

Q: Is this a good gift for someone who's not super into sailing?

A: Absolutely! Even if they're not big into sailing, the views are just breathtaking. The Hudson River Fall Foliage Sail is more about the experience and the scenery than sailing itself. The fall colors and passing under the George Washington Bridge are pretty amazing, so I think most people would enjoy it.

So excited about the Hudson River Fall Foliage Sail!

I just booked the Fall Foliage Sail up the Hudson this October! I can't wait to see the Palisades and take some photos. I've heard it can get chilly, so I'm planning to layer up. Has anyone done this before? Any tips for first-timers?
