Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for the West Village Food Tour?

A: There’s no strict minimum age for the West Village Food Tour, but it's generally more enjoyable for kids 12 and up since they can appreciate the history and the food tastings better. Younger kids are welcome but may not get as much out of the experience. Just keep in mind, you’ll be walking quite a bit, so plan accordingly!

Q: How long is the tour and what should I wear?

A: The tour usually lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours. As for what to wear, I’d recommend comfortable shoes since you’ll be doing a fair bit of walking. Weather-wise, dress in layers if you’re going during fall or spring – NYC can be unpredictable!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour? Can I reschedule?

A: If the weather looks bad, you can definitely reschedule. Just make sure you contact Sidewalk Food Tours ahead of time, and they’re pretty flexible about it. I had to reschedule because of rain and they were super accommodating!

Just did the West Village Food Tour—loved it!

I just got back from the West Village Food Tour, and wow, it was awesome! We hit places like Faicco's for amazing sandwiches and Mamoun's for falafel. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood, which made the food even more enjoyable. The pizza at Hudson Bagels was, no joke, some of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves food and a bit of NYC culture!

Gift idea: West Village Food Tour for my foodie friend?
