Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? I want to take my kids!

A: There’s no specific age limit for the tour, but I'd say it’s best suited for kids 6 and up, especially since it's a full day of touring. Just keep in mind that they might get tired after all that walking! Plus, make sure they’re comfortable with long bus rides since it’s about 4 hours each way.

Q: What should we wear? Is this tour all walking?

A: Definitely wear comfy shoes since you'll be walking a lot, especially at the landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and the White House. Dress in layers too, since D.C. weather can be unpredictable. A light jacket or sweater is a good idea for the bus ride, especially if you’re going in the early spring or late fall.

Q: Can we reschedule if something comes up? How flexible is this?

A: Yes, you can typically reschedule your tour, but it's best to contact AventoursNYC directly as soon as you know you need to change. They usually have some flexibility, but make sure to check their policies on cancellations and rescheduling. Doing it a week in advance usually works best.

Thinking of gifting the D.C. Day Tour – any last-minute tips?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to gift the New York to Washington, D.C. Day Tour to my sister for her birthday. She’s always wanted to see the White House and the Lincoln Memorial, but I've never done this tour myself. Any tips on what to expect or how to make it extra special for her? I think she’ll love the history part!

I just did the tour, and it was amazing!

I can’t recommend the New York to D.C. Day Tour enough! The bus was super comfy, and our guide was really knowledgeable about all the landmarks. Seeing the Lincoln Memorial in person was so much more powerful than I expected. If you’re on the fence about gifting this, just do it! It’s worth every penny.
