Q&A

Q: Are there age restrictions for the New York Urban Wildlife Sunset Boat Tour?

A: There's no strict age limit for the tour, but it's definitely more suited for older kids and adults who can appreciate the wildlife and history. Kids under 12 should be accompanied by an adult. Just keep in mind it’s a 3-hour tour, so younger ones might get restless!

Q: What's the best time of year to go on the boat tour?

A: The best time is definitely late spring through early fall. The sunsets are gorgeous, and you get to see the wildlife in full swing! Just check the weather in advance because if it's rainy or super windy, they might cancel or reschedule.

Q: What should I wear on the boat tour?

A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water, especially at sunset. I recommend wearing a light jacket and comfortable shoes since you'll be moving around. Don’t forget your sunglasses and a hat too!

Just got back from the NYC Urban Wildlife Tour - Amazing Experience!

I took the New York Urban Wildlife Sunset Boat Tour last weekend, and it was fantastic! The guide, Gabriel, was super knowledgeable about the history and the wildlife in the harbor. We spotted herons and egrets nesting on the islands, which was awesome. Plus, the sunset views of the Manhattan skyline were breathtaking. I definitely recommend bringing binoculars – you’ll want to see everything up close! Can’t wait to do it again someday.

Considering the Urban Wildlife Tour as a gift – is it worth it?

I’m thinking about gifting the Urban Wildlife Sunset Boat Tour to my boyfriend for his birthday. He loves nature and NYC, so it seems perfect! But I’m a little worried about seasickness since it’s on a boat. Anyone know how rough the ride feels? Also, how’s the food? I want to make sure it’s a fun experience!
