Q: Is there a lot of walking involved during the trolley tour? My parents are older and might have some mobility issues.

A: The trolley tour itself is mostly seated, so your parents should be fine with that part. However, once you get to the Breakers, there is some walking involved both inside the mansion and in the gardens. I'd recommend checking if there's a wheelchair option available if that's a concern. It's a beautiful place though, totally worth it!

A: Yes, it is definitely open-air! I'd recommend wearing layers, especially since the weather can change quickly in Newport. Comfortable shoes are a must since you might want to walk around at the Breakers. Bring a light jacket if you're going in the evening too!

Just got back from the Newport Open Air Trolley Tour and wow, it was amazing! The trolley ride was super fun, and we saw all these beautiful mansions along Bellevue Ave. The Breakers mansion was just incredible. I really loved how the guide shared stories about the Gilded Age and even pointed out where some movies were filmed. If you're thinking about this as a gift, do it! My whole family enjoyed it.
