Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? I'm thinking about taking my kids.

A: There's no strict age limit, but I’d say it’s best for older kids who can appreciate the historical context. My 12-year-old loved it, but my 8-year-old got a little restless. It might be helpful to prepare them with some background info on Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad!

Q: What should I wear for the Harriet Tubman UGRR Tour? Is it outdoors a lot?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking around historical sites, and it can get a bit breezy near the falls. Layers are a good idea due to the weather changes. Also, don’t forget sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up? I'm worried about my plans.

A: Yes, you can typically reschedule if you give them enough notice. The policy is quite flexible. Just reach out to Motherland Connextions a few days in advance, and they should help you move your booking.

Just got back from the Harriet Tubman UGRR Tour - Wow!

I just did the Harriet Tubman UGRR Tour last weekend, and it was honestly incredible. We started in Niagara Falls and traveled through the wine country, which was beautiful! The guide, dressed in period attire, made the history come alive. Hearing stories directly from descendants of Freedom Seekers was so moving. Totally recommend it if you're into history!

Thinking of gifting the Harriet Tubman UGRR Tour!

My sister loves history, and I think this tour would be an awesome gift for her birthday. Has anyone done it? What do you think? Is it engaging enough for someone who's not super into history?
