Q&A
A: There are no specific age restrictions for the Maid of the Mist boat ride! It’s family-friendly, so kids are welcome and it’s a blast for all ages. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need a life jacket, which is provided on the boat. Also, it's good to check the weather before you go, because it can be a bit chilly on the water.
A: Definitely bring a light jacket or sweater as it can get chilly on the water at night, especially when the boat is moving. Wear comfortable shoes that can get wet, since you're likely to feel some mist from the Falls. Also, don't forget to bring a poncho if you want to stay dry during the ride!
A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, the tour provider usually reschedules or issues a full refund. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy when you book. It’s worth noting that they keep a close eye on the forecast, especially for high winds or heavy rain, so they’ll communicate anything as soon as possible.

Just got back from the Niagara Falls Evening Illumination Tour!
OMG, you guys, the Maid of the Mist ride was unreal! We went last weekend and feeling the mist up close was such a thrill. The view from the Prospect Point Observation Tower at night was insane. The Falls all lit up at night? Pure magic! If you're thinking about gifting this to someone, do it. They’ll love it! Just a heads up, make sure to book early since spots are super limited.
Thinking about gifting the Illumination Tour, is it worth it?
Hey everyone! I’m considering the Niagara Falls Evening Illumination Tour for my parents' anniversary. They love nature but aren’t super adventurous. Do you think they’d enjoy the Maid of the Mist ride? Also, any tips on the best nights to go in July? Thanks!
