Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the boat ride on the Maid of the Mist?

A: No, there’s no strict age limit for the Maid of the Mist. Kids of all ages can ride, but keep in mind that they’ll need to wear a provided poncho as it can get pretty wet! Just make sure they’re comfortable with the ride and the noise from the falls.

Q: How often can you reschedule if plans change?

A: You can usually reschedule your trip up to 48 hours in advance without any extra fees. Just make sure to reach out to the provider directly to confirm availability for your new dates. They’re pretty flexible, which is great!

Q: What should I wear for the boat ride and walking tours? Is it cold?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly near the falls, especially with the mist from the Maid of the Mist boat ride. A light jacket or sweater is a good idea. Wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking a lot, and be prepared to get a bit wet from the spray!

Just got back from the Niagara Falls tour—what a blast!

I booked the 2-day guided bus tour from NYC for a surprise birthday gift, and it was a huge hit! The glassmaking stop in Corning was super cool, and the boat ride on the Maid of the Mist was epic! Seeing the falls lit up at night was magical. The winery stop was a nice touch too, the tasting was only $11! I definitely recommend this as a gift, just be ready for some walking!

Thinking about gifting this Niagara Falls tour—any tips?

I’m looking at this 2-day tour from NYC for my parents' anniversary. They love nature and wine! Is it worth it? Any recommendations on what to do or look out for? Also, how’s the food on the bus ride and at the winery?
