Q&A
A: Great question! There’s no strict age limit for the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds. Kids love the experience, especially the boat ride! Just make sure younger kids are tall enough to wear the provided ponchos safely. It's a fun family adventure!
A: Definitely expect to get wet! Wear something comfy that you don't mind getting drenched. The ponchos help, but they don’t cover everything. Waterproof shoes are a must if you want to walk on the Hurricane Deck without worrying about soggy socks!
A: Yes! You can stay as long as you want on Goat Island and take the trolley back to the starting point whenever you're ready. Just check the trolley schedule so you don't miss it. It's a great spot to relax after the main tour!

Just did the Maid of the Mist and Cave Adventure—SO WORTH IT!
I took my family on the Maid of the Mist and Cave Adventure last week and it was incredible! The boat ride was definitely the highlight, getting so close to Horseshoe Falls was unreal. The ponchos were a lifesaver! The Cave of the Winds part was super fun too, but be ready for some serious splashes. We spent some extra time on Goat Island after the tour and it was gorgeous. If you’re thinking about gifting this experience, do it!
Considering the Maid of the Mist tour as a gift—thoughts?
I'm looking for a unique gift for my partner's birthday and thought about the Maid of the Mist and Cave Adventure. We love nature and are super into adventures. Is it a good experience for a couple, or is it more family-friendly? Also, what’s the best time to go?
