Q&A
A: The best time to see the Northern Lights during this tour is generally between late September and early April, when the nights are longer and darker. Keep an eye on the aurora forecast close to your trip for the best chances to see the lights! Remember, it’s always weather-dependent, so be prepared for possible cancellations, but the hot springs are a great backup plan!
A: This tour is suitable for all ages, but keep in mind that the hot springs area is recommended for ages 12 and up. Younger kids can join but may not have as much fun in the hot springs experience. It's great for families as well as couples looking for a romantic night out under the stars!
A: The restaurant at Chena Hot Springs has a great menu using local ingredients! While dinner isn't included in the tour, you can expect hearty Alaskan fare. I had the salmon and it was delicious! They also have a nice selection of drinks if you want to enjoy something while soaking in the hot springs.

Just got back from the Northern Lights tour at Chena Hot Springs!
OMG, this was such an epic experience! The Aurora Ice Museum was super cool, especially the ice bar! I highly recommend trying the Appletini. The hot springs at night under the stars were just magical. We even saw some lights! I went in mid-November and the weather was perfect. Definitely taking my family back next year!
Considering gifting the Northern Lights tour for my partner's birthday!
I’m really leaning towards this as a birthday gift for my partner! He loves the outdoors and I've read so many great reviews. Just wondering if the hot springs can get too cold at night? Should I pack extra layers for us? Any tips would be super helpful!
