Q&A
A: Great question! This tour is family-friendly, and kids are welcome as long as they're able to stay warm and enjoy the experience. Just keep in mind that it's a late-night activity, so be sure your little ones can handle staying up until midnight. The yurt is cozy, and they provide winter gear to keep everyone bundled up!
A: Absolutely, there's ample parking available near the start of the tour. Just keep in mind that it’s a bit of a walk to the yurt, especially if there's snow. Arriving about 15-20 minutes early is a good idea to get settled and enjoy a warm drink before the tour starts!
A: The provided winter gear is definitely sufficient! They give you a parka, snow pants, hat, mittens, and boots, which kept me warm during my tour. I’d recommend wearing thermal layers underneath for added comfort. Just make sure to wear warm socks, and you’ll be all set to enjoy the lights!

Just booked the Northern Lights tour! Any tips?
I just got tickets for the Northern Lights Viewing and Storytelling Tour in Fairbanks! I’m so excited but also a bit nervous about the cold. It’s a 2-hour tour from 10 PM to midnight, and I heard the guides are great at sharing local stories. What should I expect? Any must-dos while there?
Incredible experience under the Northern Lights!
I went on the Northern Lights Viewing tour last week, and wow, it was magical! The yurt was cozy, and we had hot cocoa and snacks while listening to stories about Alaskan culture. The guides were super knowledgeable, and seeing the aurora was just breathtaking. If you're considering this as a gift, do it! My friend loved it!
