Q&A
A: Yes, it's a good idea to book in advance, especially if you're planning to go on a weekend or holiday. The tours can fill up quickly, and it ensures you get the time slot you want. You can usually reserve online or check with the provider for any last-minute availability.
A: The tour is generally suitable for older kids, but it can be heavy emotionally. There’s no strict age limit, but I’d recommend it for kids 12 and up. It’s important for parents to gauge if their child can handle the subject matter.
A: Comfortable walking shoes are a must since you'll be on your feet quite a bit. I'd suggest wearing layers as well, since the weather can change throughout the day. Also, keep in mind it can get emotional, so wear something you feel comfortable in.

Thinking of gifting the NYC 9/11 Memorial Walking Tour - thoughts?
I’m considering giving this walking tour as a gift to my dad. He’s been wanting to visit the Memorial for ages but hasn’t had the chance. I saw the tour includes a licensed guide and visits to important sites like the Firefighter's Memorial and Eleven Tears Memorial. How long does the tour last, and is it emotionally heavy? I want to make sure he’s prepared for it.
Just got back from the 9/11 tour — WOW!
I just finished the 9/11 Memorial and Financial District Walking Tour and it was incredible. Our guide shared so many personal stories that really brought everything to life. The pools are stunning, and visiting the Oculus was mind-blowing! If you're thinking about gifting this experience, do it! Just be ready for some tears.
