Spend your morning discovering the heart of Manhattan with a local to show you its biggest sights, from the skyscrapers of Wall Street to the pools and engraved names at the 9/11 Memorial. Start with the Financial District to get fascinating insight into the history of finance, politics, and power in NYC (and the world) as you walk by famous sights like Federal Hall and Trinity Church. Then head to the 9/11 Memorial, where you'll discover the impact of this day on the city and the world as you pause for a moment of reflection at the country's largest man-made waterfalls. We'll walk part of the Canyon of Heroes, visit many more beloved landmarks, and even glimpse the Statue of Liberty from across the bay. Then board the ferry to see the statue up close. You can tour the Statue of Liberty Museum and even continue on to Ellis Island if you wish. Return at your leisure. The guided tour duration is 2-hours. Your trip to Liberty Island is self-guided.

Q&A

Q: Is there a specific age limit for kids on this tour? Thinking about taking my 10-year-old.

A: There's no strict age limit for this tour, which makes it great for families! Kids as young as 5 have enjoyed the experience, but it's really up to how well they can handle a 2-hour walking tour. Just make sure to keep an eye on them during the ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty, as it can get crowded.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather looks unsafe, the tour can be rescheduled without any fees. Just give them a call or email at least 24 hours in advance. If it’s just a little rain, they usually still go ahead, so pack a poncho if that’s the case!

Q: What should we wear? Is it mostly walking or are there a lot of breaks?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must since this tour involves a lot of walking around the Financial District and the memorial. Dress in layers too, since it can get chilly by the water when you take the ferry. There are a few breaks, but you're definitely on the move for most of the 2 hours.

Just did the NYC City Tour and it was amazing!

I went on the NYC City Tour with my friends last week, and we had such a blast! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the history come alive, especially at the 9/11 Memorial. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was a highlight for sure. The ferry ride was smooth, and we even got time to visit the museum. I’d say it’s totally worth the price!

Thinking of gifting this tour to my parents, any thoughts?

My parents love history and NYC, so I’m considering giving them this City Tour for their anniversary. They’ve seen the Statue of Liberty before, but never the memorial. Do you think they’d enjoy this? Also, how’s the walking pace?
