Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the tour itself, but keep in mind that the stand-up comedy shows may have age restrictions, usually 18+. It's a good idea to check with your guide on the day of the tour for specific show options and any age-related details.
A: Rescheduling is pretty flexible, but it's best to give at least 48 hours notice. Just reach out to the Comedy History Tours team directly, and they should be able to help you find a new time that works.
A: Dress casual! You’ll be walking around Greenwich Village, so comfy shoes are a must. The weather can change, so layers are recommended. If you’re planning to hit a comedy show afterward, a nice casual outfit works too, but don’t stress too much about it!

Just got back from the NYC History of Comedy Tour - so much fun!
I went on the NYC History of Comedy Tour last weekend and it was a blast! Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of comedy in Greenwich Village, and I even got to see places like the Comedy Cellar. Plus, we got tickets to a show later that night which was awesome. Definitely recommend it if you’re a comedy fan! Just make sure to bring comfy shoes because there’s some walking involved.
Considering gifting the NYC Comedy Tour - any tips?
I’m thinking about gifting the NYC History of Comedy Tour to my friend who’s a huge comedy lover. Is it a good experience for someone who’s never been to NYC? What stands out about the tour? Any tips on when to go?
