Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this waterfall hike? Thinking of taking my kids.

A: It's a great family-friendly hike! Kids 8 and up usually do well with the mild to moderate difficulty. Just keep an eye on them near the water and be sure they can handle the short hike. If you have younger kids, you might want to consider bringing a carrier, just in case they get tired.

Q: Do they provide gear, or should we bring our own water shoes?

A: They actually provide a hip pack and a rain poncho, but I’d recommend wearing your own water shoes or sandals that can get wet. The hike can be muddy, especially if it rained recently, so having grip is key! Also, don’t forget sunscreen, even in the rainforest.

Q: What happens if it rains? Will they cancel the hike?

A: Rain in Hawaii can be unpredictable, but usually, they won’t cancel unless it’s really severe. They might adjust the route to keep you safe and still provide a fun experience. Just check the weather before you go, and expect some mud if it has rained. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty!

Just booked the Oahu Hidden Waterfall Hike for my wife’s birthday!

I’m so excited! We’ll be visiting Oahu next month, and I think this hike will be the perfect surprise for her. She loves nature, and I read that the waterfall is breathtaking. Plus, the guides seem really knowledgeable! Anyone else done this? What should I expect?

Thinking of gifting the Oahu Hidden Waterfall Hike!

I want to get my friend something unique for her retirement. She loves hiking, but I’m worried about the difficulty level. Is it really mild to moderate? Also, what’s the pool like? Can we swim there?
