Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this hiking adventure?

A: There's no strict age limit, but it's recommended for kids aged 8 and up. The hike is moderate, so younger kids might struggle a bit. Just make sure they’re comfortable with a 2.5-mile trek. Also, if they're under 18, you might need to sign a waiver.

Q: What should we wear for this hike? Any specific gear needed?

A: I’d recommend wearing light, breathable clothing, and definitely closed-toe shoes with good grip. The guides provide rain ponchos, but it can get muddy, so be prepared for that. A hat and sunscreen are also smart since the sun can be intense!

Q: What if it rains? Will the hike still happen?

A: Rain or shine, the hike usually goes on! But if there’s heavy rain or unsafe conditions, they’ll reschedule. You can check in with the guides on the day of to be sure. Just bring the provided poncho just in case!

Just did the Oahu Volcanic Rainforest hike and it was amazing!

I took the Oahu Volcanic Rainforest Hiking Adventure last week, and wow, what a trip! The views of the Ko’olau Mountains and Diamond Head were breathtaking! The guides were super knowledgeable about all the plants and history. Took about 2.5 hours, and they provided water and a hip pack. Definitely recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves nature! Just a heads up, wear good shoes because it gets muddy!

Considering this hike as a gift for my husband's birthday!

Hey everyone! I'm looking to get my husband a unique experience for his birthday, and this Oahu hiking adventure looks perfect. He loves hiking but hasn't done any tours before. Has anyone done this? How was the difficulty level? Any tips?
