Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit; families with kids often join! Just keep in mind that children should be able to follow crew instructions and sit still for a while. They’ll love seeing the whales up close, but you might want to bring some snacks and activities to keep them entertained.
A: Light layers are your best bet! It can get breezy out on the water even in Oahu. A light jacket or a long-sleeved shirt is good, and don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat since the sun can be pretty intense. Also, wear non-slip shoes if you can.
A: If you don’t spot any whales on your trip, just let the crew know, and they’ll provide you with a voucher for a second sail. It can be booked on a different day, which is great! Just make sure to check availability, as they can fill up fast during peak season.

Thinking about the Oahu whale watching catamaran sail for my parents!
I’m looking to get my parents something special for their anniversary, and I think this whale watching experience would blow them away! They’re visiting Oahu in February. The whole idea of being on a catamaran and seeing whales sounds amazing. I just hope they get to see some! Has anyone done this? Should I book it now or wait a little?
Just got back from the whale watching catamaran experience!
OMG, this was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done! The crew was so knowledgeable, and we saw a few whales breaching right next to us! The views were unbelievable. I’d recommend this to anyone. Plus, the catamaran is super chill and not overcrowded. Totally worth it!
