Q&A
A: There’s no specific age limit! Kids are welcome, but keep in mind that some parts of the tour might be more suitable for older kids. Just make sure they’re okay with some history and a bit of walking at the plantation. Parents usually bring strollers for little ones, but it's best to check ahead with the company for any specific concerns.
A: The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off, and you're given a guided tour of the plantation which is gorgeous! However, lunch isn't included, so I’d recommend eating either before you go or at the plantation restaurant after the tour. Their menu is pretty good!
A: New Orleans can be unpredictable! I’d definitely recommend checking the forecast a few days ahead. If rain is possible, bringing an umbrella or poncho is a smart move. There are portions of the tour outside, especially around the plantation trees, so better safe than soggy!

Thinking about gifting the Oak Alley Plantation tour, thoughts?
I'm considering the Oak Alley Plantation and New Orleans Cemetery Tour as a birthday gift for my partner. I’ve heard the plantation is stunning, especially those massive oak trees! Has anyone done this? What did you think? Is it worth it for the price? I’m also curious about the cemetery part. How's the vibe?
Just got back from the tour, here’s my review!
I just did the Oak Alley Plantation and New Orleans City & Cemetery Tour yesterday and wow! The plantation is gorgeous and the tour guide was amazing! Learned so much about the history. The cemetery part was a bit spooky but really cool. The bus was comfortable too. I highly recommend it! We even saw where the levee broke during Katrina. Definitely a unique experience!
