Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Oak Alley Plantation Tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but younger kids may find the tour long. I'd recommend it for kids 10 and up who can appreciate the history. They might enjoy the outdoor grounds and exhibits more than the Big House itself. It's a good idea to check with the provider if you have very young ones!

Q: How does the transportation to Oak Alley work? Is parking available?

A: Transportation is included in the experience from the Homewood Suites in the French Quarter, so no need to worry about parking! Just be ready 30 minutes before the pickup time. It’s super convenient, especially if you're unfamiliar with the area!

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it mostly indoors or outdoors?

A: You'll definitely want to dress for the weather since the tour involves a lot of outdoor walking. Comfortable shoes are a must. I'd go for light, breathable clothing and don’t forget the sunscreen! There are some indoor areas, but the majority of the time is spent outside exploring the grounds.
