Q&A
A: There are no strict age restrictions for the Oatman experience! It’s family-friendly and great for all ages. Just keep in mind that the drive through the Black Mountains can be bumpy, so smaller kiddos might need a little extra help. Overall, it’s perfect for a fun day out with the fam!
A: Definitely dress in layers! The desert can be super hot during the day but chilly in the morning and evening. Sturdy shoes are a must since you’ll be exploring Oatman on foot. And don’t forget sunscreen and a hat; the sun can be intense out there!
A: Yes, there's parking available at the Route 66 Visitors Center! It's pretty spacious, but it can fill up fast on weekends, so try to arrive early. You’ll have no problem finding a spot for the tour, but just a heads-up during peak hours!

Thinking about the Oatman tour, anyone done it?
I’m considering getting the Oatman Old West Town experience as a gift for my husband. He loves history and the Wild West vibe. The drive through the Black Mountains sounds amazing, plus the burros in Oatman! I read it lasts a few hours, which seems perfect for a day trip from Vegas. But is it really as fun as it sounds?
Just did the Oatman tour and it was awesome!
I recently went on the Oatman Old West Town tour and I can't recommend it enough! The guides were super knowledgeable, and I had so much fun feeding the burros. The drive through the Black Mountains was breathtaking! Perfect day trip from Las Vegas and it’s free, which is even better! Anyone else been? What did you think?
