Over 100 years ago, this area was known as the Wild, Wild West! The miners, of the Techatticup Mine, produced millions of dollars in gold and silver. Both, hard working folk and shady characters roamed the town, often engaging in debaucherous activities. The ghost town, now known as Nelson, buzzed with activity as prospectors sought out their fortunes. Today, this area is one of Nevada's most popular destinations for history buffs and adventure seekers alike. The mine and ghost town are nestled within the beautiful El'Dorado Wilderness, a magnet for photographers and movie producers! Hollywood has filmed many blockbusters there, including "3000 Miles to Graceland"! As noted, the shore of the Colorado River is minutes away. Here, we'll set up camp! The Jeeps will be equipped with a roof top tent or SUV tent. We pack the Jeeps full of everything you'll need for a funfilled day on the river!

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this Jeep tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but I’d recommend this for kids 8 and up. The terrain can be bumpy, so younger kids might struggle a bit with the ride. Just make sure they’re comfortable and you’ve got proper seating for them in the Jeep. Bring some snacks and water for the little ones!

Q: How does rescheduling work if the weather's bad?

A: If the weather's not safe, they typically allow you to reschedule for a different date without any extra fees. Just make sure to call them ahead of time to sort it out. They’re pretty flexible, especially when it comes to safety concerns.

Q: What should I wear for the Jeep tour? Is it dusty?

A: Definitely wear something comfortable and breathable since it can get hot out there. I'd recommend wearing closed-toe shoes because of the rocky terrain. And yes, it can get dusty, so maybe bring a bandana or a scarf to cover your face if you're sensitive to that. Sunscreen is a must too!

Thinking about gifting the Off Road Guided Jeep Tour!

Hey everyone! I’m looking to surprise my husband with the Off Road Guided Jeep Tour in Nelson, NV. He loves adventure and history, plus I heard the area is stunning. Can anyone share their experience? Also, how’s the camping setup? We’ve done some glamping before, but I wonder if this will be more rugged?

Just did the Jeep tour and it was epic!

Wow, just got back from the Off Road Guided Jeep Tour and Overland Adventure, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations! The Jeeps were awesome and the guides knew all the best spots. The ghost town of Nelson was such a cool stop. Plus, the camp setup was perfect for our group! Highly recommend this for anyone looking for adventure.
