A: It's super popular, so I’d say book at least a few weeks in advance if you can. Some dates can sell out pretty quickly, especially weekends and holidays. You’ll get a assigned departure time after booking, but booking early just gives you the best choice of times.

Alcatraz tour thoughts - totally worth it!
Just got back from the Alcatraz tour and the hop-on hop-off bus! It was incredible! The audio tour was really immersive and I learned a ton about the prison’s history. The bus was a great way to see the city without the hassle of parking, plus you get to choose where to hop off! Can’t recommend it enough!
