Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for the Downtown History and Architecture Walk?

A: There's no strict minimum age for the walk, but it's more engaging for teens and adults. Kids can join, but just keep in mind that the content can be a bit historical and might not hold their attention. If you do bring younger ones, I'd recommend gearing it toward older kids who can appreciate the stories! Also, make sure they can walk for an extended period.

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day I book the tour?

A: OKC Tours usually monitors the weather closely. If conditions are expected to be unsafe, they’ll reach out to reschedule your tour. It’s always a good idea to check the forecast before you go and bring an umbrella just in case. But most of the tour can be done indoors, so don’t stress too much!

Q: Is there parking available near the starting point of the walk?

A: Yes! There’s street parking available around downtown OKC, and several parking garages nearby too. Just make sure to check for any time limits or fees. If you’re coming during a busy time, it might take a little while to find a spot, so factor that into your plans. Oh, and the tour starts at a location that's easy to find!

Thinking of gifting the History and Architecture Walk in OKC!

Hey everyone! I’m considering this history walk for my dad’s birthday since he loves architecture and local history. I’ve heard great things about the guide and the stories they tell about the Land Run and the historic buildings. Does anyone know how long the tour typically lasts? I want to make sure it fits into his day since he's pretty busy. Also, any tips on what to wear?

Just got back from the OKC History Walk - amazing experience!

Wow, I just did the OKC History and Architecture Walk last weekend and it was so cool! The guide shared these incredible stories about the founding of the city and I loved seeing the vintage pictures. We even got to go inside some skyscrapers! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique gift or just a fun day out. I was surprised how much I learned in just a couple hours!
