Take a tour that lets you immerse yourself in the park. Our guides are master naturalists, botanists, geologists, historians, and - most importantly - relentlessly curious! Today, you’ll head to the coast for a visit to stunning destinations including the Kalaloch beaches and then the Hoh rainforest. Your group may choose to focus on lots of short stops such as the Tree of Life, tidepool viewing, and Hall of Mosses. Alternatively, your group may opt for a longer rainforest hike along the Hoh River Trail winding through giant old growth forests of Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce, and Western Hemlock trees. Along the way, your naturalist guide will share stories of the Hoh tribe, history of the logging industry, and fun facts about the flora and fauna surrounding you. Groups are capped at 8 hikers. If we don't meet the minimum number of spots booked, registrants will be offered an option to make the tour private for an additional charge or cancel for a full refund.

Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the Olympic Full Day Small Group Tour & Hike?

A: There's no strict age limit, but they do recommend that kids be at least 10 years old to handle the hike difficulty and stay engaged during the tour. Younger kids might find it tough to keep up with adults on the longer hikes. If you're bringing a group, just check with the provider for any specific concerns.

Q: What should we wear for the hike in Olympic National Park?

A: Definitely wear layers! The weather can change quickly in the park. Sturdy hiking shoes are a must since you'll be on uneven terrain. A light rain jacket is also a good idea because you can never predict the Pacific Northwest weather. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen!

Q: How hard is the hike on the Hoh River Trail? I'm not in great shape.

A: The Hoh River Trail is pretty manageable for most people, but it does have some elevation changes. If you're concerned, you can choose shorter hikes or focus on stops like Hall of Mosses instead. The guides are great at accommodating different fitness levels too!

Thinking about gifting the Olympic Full Day Tour—anyone tried it?

I want to buy this tour as a gift for my outdoor-loving sister. I’m nervous though because she’s not super into long hikes. Can anyone share what the experience was like? I see you can choose between short stops and longer hikes, which is cool. How flexible are the guides? Would love to hear your experiences!
