Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for the One-Day Peak Ascents in Telluride?

A: There's no strict age limit, but they recommend participants be at least 12 years old. Younger climbers should have some prior hiking experience, though! The guides are great at working with different skill levels, so it should be suitable for most ages as long as they're in decent shape.

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather conditions aren't safe. The guides prioritize safety, so they’ll often recommend a different date if there are storms or high winds. Just give them a heads up as soon as possible, and they’ll help you find another day that works.

Q: What should I wear for the ascent? Is it strenuous?

A: Wear layers! The weather can change quickly in the mountains, so base layers, a good waterproof jacket, and sturdy hiking boots are key. You should be prepared for some strenuous activity, but the guides pace the climb well. If you’re in decent shape, you’ll manage fine!

Thinking about gifting the One-Day Peak Ascent, any reviews?

Hey folks! I'm considering getting the One-Day Peak Ascents in Telluride for my partner's birthday. They love the outdoors but haven't done a big climb before. Any thoughts on how tough it is? Are the guides really helpful? Would love to hear any experiences!
