Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the guided horseback ride?

A: You’ll want to wear long pants, like jeans, and closed-toed shoes. A hat and sunglasses are great for sun protection because it can get pretty bright out there in Catalina State Park. It's also a good idea to dress in layers, as it can cool down a bit if you ride later in the day. Trust me, being comfy will make your ride even better!

Q: Is there an age limit for the horseback ride?

A: Yes, they usually recommend riders to be at least 8 years old, but younger kids can ride if they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian. Make sure to check directly with Rancho De Los Cerros for any specific requirements. It's a great activity for families, so it's perfect if you're thinking of a family outing!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the ride?

A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, Rancho De Los Cerros will likely reach out to reschedule you. They want to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable ride. I suggest calling them before you head out just to confirm if there’s any chance of cancellation due to weather. It's always good to double-check!

Has anyone done the one hour horseback ride at Rancho De Los Cerros?

I’m thinking about gifting this experience to my girlfriend for her birthday! I’ve heard the views in Catalina State Park are breathtaking. She’s never been on a horse before, so it seems perfect for beginners. Just wondering if anyone has done it and if the guides are really helpful with first-timers?

Thinking about the guided horseback ride for my parents' anniversary!

So I found this one-hour horseback ride at Rancho De Los Cerros. They love the outdoors and I think they’d really enjoy exploring with the views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Do you think it’s a good idea? Any advice on what they should expect?
