Q&A
A: If the weather is bad, they do allow you to reschedule for a later date. Just contact them as soon as you can, and they’ll work with you to find a new time. It’s really important to check the forecast beforehand because they want everyone to have a safe and fun experience. I recommend keeping an eye on the radar the night before!
A: Yes! Kids can definitely join, but they need to be at least 8 years old to participate. They have life vests for all sizes, so safety's a priority. If your kid is a little nervous, I’d suggest starting with maybe some shorter sessions at a lake first. But this experience is super fun for families!
A: You’ll want to wear a swimsuit for sure, and maybe a rash guard if you tend to get cold. Water shoes are also a good idea since the boat deck can be slippery. Don’t forget sunscreen, even if it’s cloudy! And bring a towel for after the lesson.

Just booked a waterskiing lesson for my boyfriend’s birthday!
I finally pulled the trigger and booked the one-hour waterskiing lesson at Miami Watersports Paradise. I’m so excited! It’s just $0.00, not sure how they can offer that, but hey, I’m not complaining! I’m a bit nervous since I’ve never water-skied before, but I heard the instructors are really good. It’s in Miami, so hopefully, the weather holds up. Anyone have tips for beginners?
Has anyone done the Ultimate Miami Thrills waterskiing lesson?
I’m thinking of gifting this experience to my sister for her graduation. She loves water sports, but she’s never tried waterskiing. What do you think? Is it worth it? How’s the experience in terms of fun and instructor quality?
