Sail Away on Our Alabama Sunset Cruise in the back bays of the Intracoastal Waterway! End another perfect day in Orange Beach, AL with a sunset cruise! Our two-hulled sailboat offers a smooth, stable ride as we sail off into a gorgeous golden sunset. This two-hour sail is aboard the Cetacean, a 52-foot Hawaiian catamaran, and we skim along the back bays of Orange Beach. Besides watching the stunning sunset, keep a lookout for marine life and coastal wildlife. We often see bald eagles, seagulls, herons, and osprey flying near the boat, schools of fish swimming underneath the boat, and a sighting of some of the dolphins in our resident pod. You cannot forget to bring a camera for this sunset sail! We also have a full-service cocktail bar available for purchase on board!

Q&A

Q: What's the best time to book the Orange Beach Sunset Sailing Cruise for the best view?

A: I'd recommend booking closer to the end of July or early August for the best sunsets! The sun sets around 7:30 PM during that time, so try to get on the boat at least 30 minutes before to soak it all in. Just keep an eye on the weather too, as storms can pop up in the summer.

Q: Is there an age limit for children on the cruise?

A: No strict age limit! We’ve had kids as young as 3 on our cruises. Just make sure they’re comfortable with being on a boat! Parents should keep an eye on them, especially with the drinks onboard.

Q: What should I wear for the sailing cruise? Is it chilly on the water?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get a bit breezy on the water as the sun sets, but you won't need anything too heavy. A light jacket or sweater is perfect. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen – the sun can be pretty strong even in the evening!

Just went on the Orange Beach Sunset Sailing Cruise – wow!

I took my girlfriend on the Orange Beach Sunset Sailing Cruise last weekend, and it was one of the best experiences ever! The view was stunning, especially as the sun dipped below the horizon. We even spotted some dolphins swimming alongside the boat, which was a highlight! The catamaran felt super stable, and the crew was friendly and attentive. It's definitely worth the $50 each for the drinks too. Can't recommend this enough for a romantic evening!

Thinking of gifting the sunset cruise to my parents

My parents are celebrating their anniversary soon, and I think the Orange Beach Sunset Sailing Cruise would be perfect! They love being on the water. Just wanted to check if it's suitable for older folks and if it’s a smooth ride. Any tips or thoughts?
