Q&A
A: Yes, kids must be at least 8 years old to join the tour. It's a great option for families, but do keep in mind that younger ones will need to be able to handle the kayak and follow the guide's instructions. If you're bringing kids, just make sure they are comfortable with water activities, as it can get a bit choppy at times. The guides are super friendly and accommodating, so they'll help make it fun for everyone!
A: You're gonna want to dress in layers! It can be chilly and wet, so a waterproof jacket is a must. They provide waterproof bibs and jackets, but I'd recommend wearing quick-drying clothing underneath, like a synthetic or wool base layer. Also, bring a hat and sunglasses since it can be pretty sunny when you’re on the water. Don’t forget to wear shoes that can get wet, like water shoes or sandals.
A: Not at all! This tour is perfect for beginners. The guides are super helpful and they’ll show you the basics before you get on the water. The tour is designed to be relaxing and enjoyable, so you don't need prior experience. Just come ready to have fun and soak in the beautiful scenery. The small group size really helps too, making it feel more personal!

Just booked the Orca Cove Sea Kayaking tour — what should I expect?
I’m super excited! I just booked the Orca Cove Sea Kayaking tour for next month. I’ve always wanted to kayak in Alaska, and it’s so cool that it’s a small group. Anyone have tips on what to take with me? I heard the snacks are great, but should I bring anything extra?
Just came back from Orca Cove Kayaking — it was amazing!
I went on the Orca Cove Sea Kayaking tour last week and wow, it totally exceeded my expectations! The guides were super knowledgeable and we saw sea lions and even some eagles! The local smoked salmon was delicious. If you're in Ketchikan, do not miss this experience. Just be ready for some chilly weather!
