A: There's no strict age limit! Kids as young as 5 can ride, but they must weigh at least 40 lbs to be safe. It's a blast for all ages, but younger children should ride with an adult. Just check in with the staff at Barefoot Parasailing when you get there.
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit! It can get splashed, and you might get soaked. A rash guard or a quick-dry shirt is a good idea, too. Don’t forget sunscreen since you’ll be out on the bay. You might also want sandals or water shoes!
A: If the weather's not cooperating, they’ll cancel the ride for safety reasons. You can reschedule easily, and they’re pretty flexible with timing. Just keep an eye on the weather forecast and call ahead if you’re unsure!

Hey all! I’m considering gifting my kids a ride on the inflatable orca at South Padre Island. Has anyone done this? What’s it like? I heard it’s safe for kids over 5, which is perfect since my youngest is 6. Also, do they have fun captains? I'm hoping they make it exciting for the kiddos!

OMG, riding the inflatable orca was such a wild experience! We went last week in South Padre, and it was a blast! The jet ski pulls you around the bay, and you honestly feel like you're flying. Our captain was hilarious and made the whole thing super fun. I’d say it’s a must-do for anyone visiting the area!
