Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the orca whale tour? Is it cold on the water?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water, even in summer. I'd recommend a warm jacket, hat, and gloves. Also, some waterproof gear wouldn’t hurt just in case you get splashed. Trust me, you don’t want to be cold while trying to enjoy the orcas!

Q: How likely are we to actually see orcas on this tour?

A: You’ve got a great chance! The success rate is over 95%, which is pretty impressive. The guides are super experienced and know where to find them. Plus, they might share info about other wildlife you can see, too!

Q: Can this tour accommodate kids? Are there age limits?

A: Yes, kids can join the tour! There’s no specific age limit but keep in mind that it lasts up to five hours, so younger kids might get restless. It's perfect for nature-loving families, just be sure they’re ready for a bit of adventure on the boat.

Just got back from the orca tour and WOW!

I went on the Orca whale tour from Orcas Island last weekend, and it was mind-blowing! We saw so many orcas, including a baby! The guides were super knowledgeable, and it felt like an adventure. The boat was fast and comfortable, but I definitely recommend bundling up; it gets really windy out there. I can't wait to go again!

Thinking about gifting the orca tour experience!

I'm considering this orca whale tour as a gift for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves marine life, but I’m worried about the weather and if we can reschedule if it’s too rough. Has anyone had experience with that?
