Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the food tour?

A: There aren't any strict age restrictions for the food tour, but I'd recommend it for ages 12 and up since some of the flavors and dishes are more adult-oriented. Kids are welcome, but keep in mind that the tour lasts around three hours, so make sure they’re up for it! It's also a great way to introduce them to different cuisines.

Q: What should I wear for the food tour?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable shoes since you'll be walking about fifteen blocks. Dress casually, like jeans and a nice top or a light jacket if it's cool. The tour is mostly outside, and some places might have a cozy atmosphere, so layers are a good idea. Oh, and don't forget to bring a small bag for any leftovers!

Q: Is there parking available near the food tour meeting point?

A: There are some street parking options, but they can be tricky to find in Astoria, especially during peak hours. I’d suggest using a parking app to check availability. Alternatively, the N and W subway lines drop you off just a short walk away, which is super convenient!

Just booked the Astoria food tour! Any tips?

I finally pulled the trigger and booked the Original Astoria Queens Guided Food Tour for next month! I’m super excited about trying Egyptian food since I’ve never had it before. Any recommendations on what to expect or how to make the most of it? I've heard the guide is really knowledgeable!

Had an amazing time on the food tour!

Just got back from the Astoria food tour and wow, it was such a blast! We tried food from five different countries, and everything was delicious. The Italian deli was a highlight! The guide knew so much about each place, and the atmosphere was so chill. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves food!
