Come paddle the 8/5-miles through the mysterious, moss-covered cypress forest of the Little-Big Econ State Forest. Somehow escaping the uncontrolled growth dominating Orange and Seminole Counties, the tightly winding upper portion slowly becomes a widening, lazy river. The high sandy banks will shade you with enormous live oaks, pine, palmetto, and ancient cypress. A light lunch will be served picnic style at the Boy Scout Bridge on the Florida Trail.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Orlando Alligator Experience?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd recommend it for kids aged 8 and up. The paddle can be a bit tough for younger ones, and they might not enjoy the gator part as much. Just keep in mind it’s a nature experience, so kids should be somewhat adventurous!

Q: What should we wear for the Alligator Experience? Is it muddy?

A: Definitely wear clothes that can get wet and muddy! Quick-dry shorts and a moisture-wicking shirt are great. I also recommend closed-toe shoes, like water shoes or old sneakers, just in case. You might also want a hat and sunscreen!

Q: Can this experience be rescheduled if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just make sure to give them a heads up at least 48 hours in advance. I had to change my date last minute and they were super accommodating.

Just did the Alligator Experience—what a trip!

I went on the Orlando Alligator Experience last weekend, and it was incredible! Paddling through the cypress forest was like being in another world. Our guide was super knowledgeable and pointed out all kinds of wildlife. The picnic at Boy Scout Bridge was relaxing, and the gator sightings were definitely the highlight! Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Orlando or looking for a unique gift idea.

Thinking of gifting the Alligator Experience—worth it?

I’m considering this for my parents' anniversary. They love nature but aren’t super outdoorsy. Would this be fun for them? I heard it’s not too strenuous, and I want it to be enjoyable not scary. Any tips or advice?
